近年、地域活性化の手法や主体は様々であるが、街の持続的な発展を誘起するには総じて“はじまりのデザイン”が重要である。はじまりのデザインとは、取組の初動期におけるビジョニング、体制作り、空間デザイン、ワークショップ、プロモーション等、一連の地域デザインを指す。ここでの地域内外のプレーヤーによる「地域の魅力発掘」と「危機感の共有」が、その後の各種取組の推進力と持続力を決める鍵となる。
本研究では、北海道江別市発祥の歴史を持つ古建築群を舞台に地域外のデザイナーと地元の活動団体、アーティスト、市民作家、農家、学生などが協働で地域デザインに取組むプラットフォームを形成した。このような活動を通して、大都市近郊の郊外都市において地域活性化に寄与する地域デザインのフローと要点を整理する。
In recent years, the technique and the player of local revitalization is different, generally the beginning of the design is important for sustainable development of the town. The beginning of the design in the initial phase of the town development is making the future vision, framework construction space design, workshops, promotion, etc. “Excavation of possibility” and ” share sense of crisis” become the key that determines the driving force and the sustainability.
In this study, we made a platform with outside the region designers and local activist groups, artists, residents, farmers, students to consider the growth strategy of the town in the old architecture group in Ebetsu. Through such activities, we organized the key points and flow of regional design to local revitalization inthe suburban city of urban suburbs.
