視覚デザイン教材を活用した科学コミュニケーション活動の展開
Development of a Science Communication Activity by Utilizing Visual Design Teacing Materials

科学研究者、デザイナー、市民の三者からなる「視覚デザインを活用した科学コミュニケーション活動モデル」を提言し、科学研究者とデザイナーの協同による視覚デザイン教材『環境マナビジュアル』を制作した。そして、この「マツ枯れ」を主題とした教材冊子を核に、実験・観察ワークショップを開催した。本稿では、その制作プロセスおよび実践を通じた共同開発の効果、視覚デザインによる科学コミュニケーション活動の変化について報告する。また、制作教材を、関連団体や有識者に提供し、その有益性を検証した。
In this study, we proposed “the science communication activity model by utilizing visual design” consisting of scientists, designers and citizens. A visual design teaching material was produced with this system and a workshop based on the booklet “Kankyo Mana-Visual” was held concerning the problem of pine tree death. Through the design process and the practice, we report the effects of the joint development and the change of the science communication activity by visual design. In addition, we offered the booklets to related organizations and experts and inspected the benefits.
