ECD : リフレクションツール

ECD(Event Capturing Device)は、ワークショップにおける学びの理論の解明と実践者の育成を目的に開発されたリフレクションを支援するためのツールである。ECDはiPadに実装されるソフトウェアである。実践者は、ワークショップ活動を録画記録し、その中から重要な出来事や場面をいくつか選択し観察をおこなう。ECDの特徴は、場面の解釈を固定させず、常に観察したものが新しい解釈を生み出していくことである。それによって実践者が出来事を多面的に捉える力をつけていく。リフレクションにおける観察では、いくつかのアノテーション機能によって、直接動画に記述していく。さらに「選択した場面の前後関係の変化や繋がりを捉えること」、そして「同じ場面に対する他者の解釈の違いによって理解を深めること」ができる。観察したいくつかの出来事は、グループ化によって物語として構成され、学びの意味が深められる。

The Event Capturing Device (ECD) is a tool for supporting reflections developed to clarify theories of learning in workshops and to train practitioners. ECD is software mounted on the iPad. The practitioner records workshop activity on video, selects a number of important events and scenes from the recording, and observes them. A characteristic of ECD is that the interpretation of a scene is not fixed, but constant observation produces new interpretations. As a result, the practitioner gains the capacity to understand events from a number of angles. During the observation in reflection, several annotation functions are used to add notes directly to the video image. Besides this, “differences and connections between before and after the selected scene can be understood”, and “understanding can be intensified through different interpretations of the same scene”. Several events to be observed can be grouped into a story, and the significance of learning is intensified.
