Design Development of Plant Factory for Restaurant

Summary
As the technology of plant factory has been developed, it became possible to introduce agricultural elements into our lives, and plant factories have been increasingly installed in various facilities as well. However, most of these cases are just a compact plant factories. Therefore, we aimed to make them familiar and enrich the dining experience in restaurant, by design development. We have introduced our new product to an actual restaurant for experimental use and it was confirmed that this product has potential to produce delicious greens for special dishes.
We also made a comprehensive proposal that associated with cultivation method, business model and distribution system because it isn’t possible to materialize our design development only by this product.
