How to become a student member

Japanese Society for the Science of Design is accepting applications for membership through the online membership registration system (Smoosy) from October 2021. Please follow the procedures below.

1. Please complete the application process by entering the necessary information from this site .
2. After your application is approved by the board meeting, you will receive a “Request for Procedures” (enclosed with a remittance of membership fee) from the Secretariat Office.
3. When you receive the “Request for Procedures,” please follow the instructions and pay the necessary fees.
4. You will be admitted to the Society after the Secretariat confirms your payment.

To join the Japanese Society for the Science of Design, please download following application form (PDF), fill it in necessary matters, and send it to the secretariat by E-mail or the fax or mail.
After the board of directors approves the admission, the secretariat sends you the guide of registration.

How to become a Special Interest Group member of JSSD

If you wish to apply for a special interest group member of JSSD, Please complete the necessary procedures as follows and send the form to the JSSD secretariat office in one of the following three ways

1. E-mail: Please attach the completed and stamped cancellation form and send it to the secretariat office (jssd@mx10.ttcn.ne.jp).
2. Fax: Please send the completed and stamped cancellation form to the secretariat office (fax: 03-3301-9319).
3. Post: Please send the completed and stamped cancellation form to the secretariat office (703 Bellfort Nishiogi, 3-21-15 Nishiogikita, Suginami-ku, Tokyo 167-0042).

The secretariat office will forward the form to the chair of the SIG you apply. For further inquiries, please contact the chair of each SIG.
